Fallen Wings

“A dream does not have to be realized—it only needs someone to remember it. To remember who they are.”

Long ago, there were two suns in this world.
One illuminated the eastern Kingdom of Day, while the other warmed the western Kingdom of Night.
But one day, the western sun fell, and darkness devoured the skies of the Night Kingdom.

To fight for and protect the last remaining sun, the two kingdoms waged a war that lasted a century.
At last, they signed an accord:
The princess of the Night Kingdom was sent to the Day Kingdom as a hostage;
The prince of the Day Kingdom was forever imprisoned deep within the Night Kingdom’s palace.
They became hostages—living chains of peace.

But this peace came at the cost of freedom and dreams.
When they finally found the courage to speak their dreams aloud,
those dreams were branded as the source of calamity—torn apart and put on trial.

The prince’s dream shattered his heart.
Eddie’s dream struck him down with lightning, leaving him a wandering spirit.
Hirian’s dream—and his promise—led to his capture, branding him a criminal.
Someone opened a path for his escape, yet he chose to stay—
just to remember the girl who once gazed at the sky with him.

One night, a streak of light tore through the sky above the Night Kingdom.
No one knew where it came from.
But for a fleeting moment, it illuminated the kingdom’s frozen heavens.

It was the awakening of a spirit, the fall of hope,
and the final trace of a dream’s blaze.

Even now, where those steel wings fell, a faint glow lingers still.
Dreams have been severed. The world has chosen to forget.
Yet there are still those who remember.
The answer lies where memory has not yet been extinguished—
whether dreams are worth it, whether light will return,
whether we can live not merely surviving,
but remembering who we truly are.

Creative Vision|A Note from the Director
This is a story about whether dreams can survive reality.

Steel Wings is not a celebration of successful flight,
but an ode to those who choose to take off, knowing they may fall.

When the price of peace is the suppression of longing and the sacrifice of freedom,
can we still believe—that the dream itself deserves to exist?

Eddie, Lysia, and Hirian stand at the crossroads of nations, fate, and identity.
Every choice they make is either an escape or an act of bearing,
either a compromise or a whispered cry against the world.

This work is dedicated to those who still dare to believe—
that even wings that cannot fly can guard a dream,
and even if we never reach the distant skies,
it is still worth remembering to look up.
