2023 TCAF: 《The Way Back》

2023-07-15 - 2023-07-16

Due to the turbulent times, a boy with a dream to become a good guitarist like his father is forced to run away from the war. Afterwards, he grows up to become a man as a result of this exile.

Although a merciless bomb exploded smashing his body into pieces, he still looks forward to playing guitar with his right hand. On the way home, he begins to search for the other parts of body that are scattered all around. Can the boy piece together his body as well as the pure love for music in the beginning within this journey?

The Way Back is a play that allows parents and children alike to enjoy. With the theme of "Finding Yourself," this play presents a journey of searching for self and retracing memories. Paired with puppet and objects,  the actor's body performance deconstructs our established impressions in life. At the same time, the magic moment created by music and theatre will not only move the audience but open up different imaginations about themselves.
