This show is adapted from a well-known chapter of Investiture of the Gods. With a long drought persisting, the East Sea Dragon King dispatches the Sea Yaksha to kidnap boys and girls for a rain-making ritual. However, just as the Sea Yaksha succeeds, enraged Nezha swiftly defeats him and sends him plummeting back into the sea. During his forceful entry into the Dragon Palace, Nezha uncovers a hidden secret of the Dragon King...
Founded by the late esteemed Master Li Tian-lu, the Qiaowanran Puppetry Troupe stands as the oldest children’s puppet theater group. Committed to using traditional puppets and percussion, and featuring performances by students both on and off stage, this troupe highlights the distinctive puppetry arts of Taiwan.
