【Performing Team】
Chinese Culture University- Department of Music
Located in the picturesque Yangmingshan, the department offers a stunning view of Taipei City, the Tamsui River, and the Guandu Plain. The campus architecture, with its blend of classic and modern styles, provides an ideal setting for musical studies. Established in 1963, the Music Department has a history of over 60 years as the first private music department in Taiwan, nurturing countless musical talents. Currently, the department is headed by the renowned composer Professor Lu Wen-Tzu.

The department adheres to the principle that "there are no shortcuts to a mature performance; the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty in art never stops." This philosophy fosters a free academic atmosphere and broadens students' academic horizons. To enhance performance skills through professional teaching, the department has six teaching and research divisions and six performance teams. These divisions include Piano, Strings, Wind Instruments, Vocal, Theory and Composition, and Applied Music, while the performance teams consist of the Huagang Symphony Orchestra, Huagang Wind Orchestra, Huagang Baroque Orchestra, Choir, Opera Class, and Huagang Creative Ensemble. The department hosts numerous performances and academic events each year, receiving widespread acclaim.
