Prumsodun Ok’s interdisciplinary performances contemplate the “avant-garde in antiquity”, and have been presented across Asia, North America, and Europe. Lauded as “a vision of elegance and grace” (The Phnom Penh Post) and “Radical Beauty” (The Bangkok Post), his original works have been supported by Hewlett 50 Arts Commissions, Creative Capital, National Dance Project, MAP Fund, Surdna Foundation, and Dance/USA among others. He is the founding artistic director of Prumsodun Ok & NATYARASA, Cambodia’s first gay dance company, which Channel NewsAsia describes as “one of the most revolutionary dance troupes in Cambodia… a dance troupe like no other.” The company’s message of equity, service, and fearless love has been featured in BBC, AFP, South China Morning Post, DPA International, SBS, Asahi Shimbun, and PBS among others. 

Ok’s celebrated TED Talk and keynote speech at the 2019 Dance/USA Annual Conference have roused audiences in ovation, the former being translated into more than twenty languages and viewed millions of times. He currently lives in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where he pioneers work at the intersection and forefront of cultural preservation, artistic innovation, education, LGBTQ advocacy, and environmental stewardship. Ok sits on the Executive Committee of ខ្ញុំទទួលយក - I ACCEPT, Cambodia's historic marriage equality campaign.
