Department of Dance, National Taiwan University of the Arts
National Taiwan University of Arts is the first art university in Taiwan that combines the School of Communication, the School of Fine Arts, the School of Performing Arts and the School of Design. Since the establishment of the school, it has continuously promoted the interaction between the community, schools and enterprises, hoping to activate the development of local culture and art with the spirit and achievements of academic research. The Department of Dance, formerly known as the "Dance Department of National Taiwan Academy of Arts", is the first public dance education institution in Taiwan. The purpose is to teach professional dance performance talents, and to teach various professional dance knowledge. It also offers related courses such as Chinese and Western dance history, dance notation, movement analysis, art administration, theater practice, etc., to bring students more diversified dance professional knowledge and skills.
