Albert Garcia was born and raised in Macau, with a Filipino migrant background, and is currently based in Taipei. Working across performance, installation, and moving image, he approaches the body as a site of ongoing negotiation where histories of labour, displacement, and adaptation are continuously rehearsed and reimagined.

Inspired by post-natural thought, his practice examines how human and non-human bodies—such as people, fireflies, and algorithms navigate and resist the systems they inhabit, and how they survive and adapt within structural conditions. His long-term projects, including The Survival Guide: between a dog a wolf and a tardigrade, The Bug Is on Fire and the ongoing Dance Dance Revolution develop speculative frameworks that treat choreography as a method of sensing and reorganising relations between bodies, systems, and environments.
