Li Yun is a theatre maker, director, and sound creator from Taiwan, and the founder of Antinomy Company. His interdisciplinary practice brings together theatre, live sound, installation, and site-responsive performance to explore Asian collective memory, migration, and layered histories.

Working with archival materials, collaborators whose lived experiences shape the work, and specific spatial contexts, Li approaches artistic creation as an ongoing dialogue with historical traces. His works combine live sound, movement, recorded voices, and spatial composition to develop performances that reframe how memory and history are perceived.

In his practice, sound functions not merely as an auditory element, but as a material that shapes perception and embodied experience. Rather than illustrating history, his works invite audiences to experience it as something living, evolving, and continuously reinterpreted in the present.

His work has been recognized with a nomination for the Taishin Arts Award, and in 2025, his sound design for The Going received the Gold Award in the Professional Sound Design category at World Stage Design.
