Based in Bangkok, Naruebet Jaksusuwan graduated from Chulalongkorn University in 2021 with a major in Performing Arts and a minor in Theatrical Arts. Currently working as a gallerist and a part-time actor in short films and theatrical productions, Naruebet embarked on his performance artist journey last year.
In an exciting turn of events, he participated in the Bangkok Theatre Festival for two consecutive years, earning a grant for an incubating program in 2022 and achieving recognition as a short-listed artist in 2023. Naruebet's artistic expression has been shaped by his involvement in various productions and his work within the art space.
Through these experiences, he discovered the transformative potential of space, fostering a shared emotional connection between himself and the audience. His passion lies in creating immersive experiences that strengthen the bond between viewers and himself, allowing for an exploration of different perspectives.
In his most recent creation, Naruebet portrayed his personal challenges with severe color deficiency (Protanopia), drawing from his experiences of navigating a society centered around norms. This piece reflects his dedication to sharing an exploration of his journey with the folk.
