All are welcome to Saturday Night Live Music @ Tpac Micro Stage for free concerts and music performances. The Micro Stage is in TPAC’s Sirius Plaza. This is a place for picnics and get-togethers, as well as to play TPAC’s puzzle-solving game/scavenger hunt. This is our Micro Stage, where wonderful performances take place.
On Saturday nights from October 5 to December 21, 10 groups perform on the Micro Stage, filling the atmosphere with music. As vibrant musical notes float through the air, move to the rhythms, as you experience the music of different cultures and enjoy the happiness of the moment. Become a part of Saturday’s liveliest nighttime concerts, taking place in front of TPAC.

The Trenber Chamber Music Society was founded in October 2022 by chamber music enthusiasts studying at the Taipei National University of the Arts. This society focuses on performing classic works and exploring possibilities for chamber music. Trenber symbolizes the goal of working together to create unique musical flow. In this spirit, it shares its music with audiences through vivid performances.

11/02 (六) 18:45|Fusion Jazz
A group of Taipei National University of the Arts students, born into classical music, but who also love jazz, came together to form Fusion Jazz. They present modern fusion jazz, which differs from traditional swing music, emphasizing the compatibility between jazz and other music genres. From Western pop classics to show tunes, Brazilian music, and modern fusion jazz, they present the diversity and magnificence of jazz. Tonight, Fusion Jazz is collaborating with soulful singer Louie and rising saxophonist William to create romance and passion through music.

Members include CHEN Ching-Yi, also known as Yinfu Jiejie (Musical Note Big Sister), an assistant professor in the Department of Music at National Dong Hwa University who earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from The Ohio State University and CHEN Chao-Hui, also known as Gangqin Jiejie (Piano Big Sister), who earned a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance. These two are the group’s main performers. Based on different stories and concert themes, they invite outstanding musicians to perform with them. Moreover, through collaborations with artists in different fields, they introduce various design concepts into their programs, so that they are pleasing to both the eyes and the ears.

F4 is comprised of four students in the Taipei National University of the Arts’ Department of Music who play the clarinet: YU Chung-Kai, YOU Ting-Yu, LIAO Tzu-Yun, and HSIEH Shu-Yang. It was their love of the clarinet that brought them together to challenge the limits of this instrument. They do not restrict themselves to one performance style, rather they play modern music, Taiwanese folk songs, classical music, and jazz. They held their debut concern in 2023 and a “thanks to the world” concert tour in 2024. This is an active music performance group in Taiwan that has won countless awards at home and abroad.
11/16 (六) 18:45|Latin x Beiguan x Jazz
When Taiwan’s beiguan chhue collides with passionate and unrestrained Latin music that is packaged and presented through jazz, what creative sparks result? This performance brings together outstanding musicians across different fields from the Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA), who create fusion jazz based on their respective strengths. Tight, the top beiguan musician at TNUA, plays the chhue, while Khim, the university’s authority on Latin music, provides percussion. They lead the audience in enjoying the music they love and their love of music in their own way.

Fusing traditional influences with a global sensibility, award winning ensemble A Moving Sound from Taiwan, built a worldwide following. Featuring the distinctive timbres of the Erhu and Zhong Ruan (lute), and the transcendent vocals of Mia Hsieh, A Moving Sound has devised a unique and compelling style that is all their own – a Taiwanese whirlwind that veers between the meditative and the exuberant with irrepressible spirit.A Moving Sound has been featured on BBC Radio 3, National Public Radio in the U.S., and on The Discovery Channel. They have performed and taught in twenty countries including The Kennedy Center, W.O.M.A.D. and the Melbourne International Arts.

Yiao refers to the son of “monster mountain,” the nickname of the mountain on which these accomplished music students of Taipei National University of the Arts have absorbed the essences of the sun and moon. Yiao is adept at transforming operas and art songs into performance forms that resonate with contemporary audiences. This group of classical vocalists with an average age of less than 25 adheres to the spirit of “those who know nothing fear nothing,” as they strive to create lively performances for different venues. Their goal is to achieve a maximum level of interaction with their audiences.

The TNUA Sax Quartet is comprised of alumni and students of the Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA)’ Department of Music. They present a diverse and relaxed performance style, immersing audiences in the world of music. They look forward to presenting a different kind of saxophone performance that is also an all-new sensory experience.
