The show takes percussion on an exciting journey, turning rhythm into a cosmic adventure! 

Taipei Percussion's special project, The Multiverse of Percussion, is an unique interactive family concert that brings together the diversity and creativity of percussion instruments to create an unforgettable musical experience. The performance highlights the variety of percussion instruments and their rich potential for creative expression, allowing the audience to journey through different "sound worlds." 

The concert features an innovative arrangement of percussion pieces, each representing a different "universe," including the "Wood Universe," "Metal Universe," "Leather Universe," "Sustainable Universe," and "Blue Universe." These distinct sound worlds are brought to life through a variety of instruments made from wood, metal, and leather (such as drum skins), providing a new and exciting take on percussion ensemble performances.

Audiences are led away to different "sonic planets," from the warm, twinkling sounds of the xylophone and the soft tinkling of the glockenspiel to the big, booming beats of the drums. There's even music made from recycled items, turning trash into treasure! 

For the grand finale, we invite everyone to join us in Paradise, making it a playful musical party! With music, creativity, and a sense of adventure, The Multiverse of Percussion is a wonderful musical journey where everyone can find their own "Happy Universe" in the rhythm!

Taipei Percussion

Founded in 1986 by former National Symphony Orchestra timpanist Lien Ya-Wen, Taipei Percussion has performed over 1,000 concerts and has consistently been honored as an "Outstanding Music Ensemble" for eleven consecutive years.

Dedicated to promoting the art of percussion, the ensemble organizes annual nationwide tours, school performances, and community arts programs. Collaborating with international artists, Taipei Percussion has brought Taiwanese percussion compositions to the global stage. Additionally, the group actively nurtures young musicians by hosting the Percussion Music Composing Competition, Taiwan, R.O.C., supporting young composers in presenting their music.

With an innovative and diverse approach, Taipei Percussion blends traditional and contemporary elements to create a unique musical language. Their performances show the expressive power of percussion and inspire audiences of all ages to embrace the rhythm and magic of sound.
