Memories of My Body (2018)
Juno was just a child when his father abandoned him in their village in Java. Alone, he joins a dance center where men shape their feminine appearance and movement. But the sensuality and sexuality of these dances, as well as the violent social and political environment, force Juno to move from village to village. On his journey Juno receives attention and love from his dance teachers, his weird aunt, his old uncle, and a handsome boxer. However, he still faces the battlefield of his own body. This film has received multiple awards at film festivals in Indonesia and abroad.
