One Flat Thing is a play for 14 dancers and 20 tables based on the music of Thom Willems, which gave rise to One Flat Thing Reproduced. Thierry de Mey – one of the most important directors of dance films – designed this film as a full work. Three cameras were used to capture the action from different points of view, as well as the choreographic principles developed by William Forsythe. The looks and exchanges between dancers make clear the complexity of the creation, while revealing the aesthetic beauty of shapes, the intensity of the movements, and their human side.

Obsessed With Light

Obsessed with Light is a meditation on light and the enduring obsession to create. This film pulls back the curtain on American modern dance creator Loïe Fuller (1862-1928), who revolutionized the visual culture of the early 20th century. Creating a dialogue between the past and the present, this documentary delves into the influence of Fuller's work on contemporary artists including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Taylor Swift, Bill T. Jones, Shakira, and William Kentridge.

Fuller invented a completely new kind of spectacle which combined dance, fabric and movement, and pioneered the ingenious use of electricity on stage.
