2026 TCAF-Community：The Summoning

In the long future, year 2179, a mysterious energy storm sweeps across the world and as a result, cities become unstable and everyone’s life is affected. To save the future, the government launch the “Special Spacetime Agent Project” and send three courageous special agents to time travel to 2026, searching for the power that can change the future. And this power is hidden in you and me!
Everyone is like a star in the sky that shines differently due to our different memories, and precisely because of these experiences, everyone is unique. When you grow up, what will you become? A superhero? A great chef? Or a circus performer? In fact, the unbounded imagination is the most special power we have. Our rich creativity makes us shine so brightly like stars that we turn the starry night sky into a dazzling spectacle and the world a more beautiful and interesting place.
The Summoning is a very special circus performance, in which the audience not only sit and watch the show but participate in the mission, collaborating with the actors to finish the challenge. The plot of each performance changes, depending on the audience’s choices and therefore, it is rarely repeated. The whole world is like a big stage, and every choice makes the adventure different.
Combined with the concept of “social circus” and using games and circus techniques, the performance allows the audience to get to know each other and work together. Then, you will realize that if you are willing to ask or to offer help, you and people around you can become partners. One task after another, we learn to trust each other and find the way to finish a job together. In our lives, when we run into difficulties, we often get scared and do not dare to try, but in circus, failure is not a bad thing. It is fine even if you fall since the most important thing is whether you are willing to stand up again.
 
Circus Gate
Founded in 2015, Circus Gate is dedicated to becoming an important power of promoting Taiwanese circus culture, using experimental creation to explore the multiple looks of contemporary circus. In recent years, with “social circus” as their core spirit, the company has combined circus with games and achieved social participation, making their performances not only entertainment but a medium that promotes conversation and connection between people. Circus Gate emphasizes the importance of the audience’s participation and interaction, shattering the one-way viewing in a performance.
