Shh, did you hear it?
A strange sound is heard in Tienlai village. Did something happen?
The villagers in Tienlai village are experts in utilizing sound waves. Let me tell you a secret – every villager has a hidden power, and there is a mysterious treasure in the village that has attracted the unexpected aliens! One night, the adventurous Bonnie and the cool girl Lei discover that the aliens, dressed in strange clothes, have invaded the village. They speak in a language that no one understands and after having wreaked havoc on the village, they steal the treasure. Bonnie and Lei are fighting flat out to retrieve the treasure and chase the aliens away, but nevertheless, the situation does not seem so simple. So, what should the villagers do?
All over the world, everyone looks different. Some have grown so tall and some round; some have darker skin and some even blue eyes! When we meet people who look different from us or things we are unfamiliar with, we always get a bit worried at first and afraid that these unfamiliar things might harm us. But in fact, what is truly frightening is never the unknown. Do you remember your first day at school? You were worried and afraid but once you had taken the first step, you made some good friends and experienced a lot of interesting things. Many different treasures are hidden in “the unknown,” and so is the magic power that makes one stronger. Growing up is never just about one’s physical development but more about the courage to face the unknown.
Be-boop! The Aliens are Coming! is a children’s theatre play about friendship, family, and growing up. This play not only contains singing and brilliant circus performance but guides children to think about the problems they may encounter in their lives as they embark on this adventurous journey filled with the unknown and personal development.
