★ When getting lost becomes an experience, every turn is a surprise
★ A temporarily built city landmark that creates a unique experience
★ Let’s explore and play together!
Combining mechanical structure design and visual puzzle, El Gran Laberint is a large semi-transparent maze that allows people to enter and tour around in it. As the sun streams in, the shadows dart on the walls, and at every turn, one meets a surprise. The path ahead is partially hidden while children walk through it. This mobile maze is everyone’s playground; moreover, it is art, an installation, and an immersive experience that you complete yourself.
Children can move and explore freely, looking for the way out and even adults get lost, transforming themselves back to children. There are no rules for the game but endless choices and discoveries. Walking is part of the experience, and the maze is a game; while turning the handle or unlocking the mechanism, you come to realize that “finding the exit” is not the most important thing; instead, the fun you have during the process is the most precious treasure. When you are in the maze, you must turn yourself from a passive audience into an active participant before you can complete this brilliant experience unique to you.
Drawn in by curiosity, the audience move ahead while turning, going back and forth, and making decisions along the way. Every time you get lost, every encounter or reunion has a meaning and changes how you feel about the experience. Your body movement, the trails left by others, and the changes in the space endow this maze with different expressions, and the experience stays in the moment. Like a temporary city landmark, El Gran Laberint invites adults and children to walk into it and relearn space between playing and perception. With the respect for curiosity, the audience are invited to physically experience the maze; they enter the space and while stepping forward and choosing paths, they naturally shape the rhythm and the looks of the performance. Via structure, light and shadow, and bodily interaction, El Gran Laberint shows the possibilities of everyday space to everyone who takes part in it

Itinerània
Itinerània is a Spanish creative group that concentrates on interactive installations in public space and street art. Through large participatory installations, they turn city space into a field of imagination. The company has members with different creative backgrounds and investigates the relationships between body and space as well as between time and interaction. Furthermore, they let the audience become co-creators of their works. Starting with “participatory installation” as their core, they combine mechanical structure, visual puzzles, and game elements to create joyful and exploratory experiences. Their works are often seen in city squares, at festivals, and outdoor art events; in different cultures and venues, their creation is constantly being re-learned and re-interpreted.
This year the company celebrates two decades of sharing its creations with audiences in more than 20 countries across 3 continents
