Can we build on vanishing ground?
In La XXX Punk II: Betel Nut Green, Amis artist Fangas Nayaw takes "Indigenous Punk" to speculate on a near future where Taiwan's Indigenous cultures have vanished. Part I begins from a fictional customary law. Part II translates the kinetic energy of traditional dance into a manifesto—weaving, through music, dance, and body, a history yet to come.
Every part starts with a manifesto. This is our search for how indigenous dance can be in the future. It must be different. We are fed up with a popular imagination limited to selected highlights and images.
So here we go.

Premiered at the 2025 Biennale de la Danse de Lyon, the work looks back at Amis traditions and communal life, while striving to imagine a future from the traces quietly disappearing.
Fist & Cake Production
Fist & Cake Production was founded by choreographer I-Fen Tung and stage director Fangas Nayaw. Fascinated by the taxis and movement of "people" in "society" and "nature", the group continues to explore the natural world, aiding humans in society to voice their whims out loud. Fist & Cake Production was founded to extract the inner foundations of performing arts, to explore the diversity of the ever-growing, ever-moving contemporary arts. Their spectrum of work includes but is not limited to: theater, dance, exhibition, installations, sounds, multimedia, film and text; presentations are displayed using mixed diverse materials.
