About the Performance
Created by master clown Slava Polunin, SLAVA’S SNOWSHOW premiered in 1993 and has since captivated audiences in over 40 countries and hundreds of cities, attracting more than 12 million spectators worldwide. Celebrated for its dreamlike atmosphere and emotional subtlety, the production has received numerous international awards, including the Olivier Award for Best Entertainment and the Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience. It is widely regarded as a theatrical legend — a once-in-a-lifetime stage experience.
The story follows the innocent yellow clown “Yellow” and a group of quirky, inquisitive green clowns known as the “Grynzzz,” leading audiences into a poetic white adventure filled with imagination. Along the journey, Yellow forms friendships, confronts loneliness, and ultimately disappears into the swirling snowstorm.
With no spoken dialogue, the performance relies on physical expression, music, and visual poetry to explore themes of friendship, joy, solitude, and curiosity. Crossing boundaries of language, culture, and age, the show invites every audience member to discover their own emotional connection and sense of wonder.
