The "Ginger Fungus" storm has swept across the nation. Zombies are snapping and biting everywhere, daytime is no longer safe, and social order is on the brink of collapse. Five high school students, separated from the evacuation convoy, flee into a bookstore basement to escape the zombie hoard.
To make matters worse—among their already thinning numbers, someone was actually bitten during a supply run.
In this temporary safe haven, their already shaky friendship is completely sinking under a wave of mutual paranoia! As the power in the basement suddenly cuts out, these chuunibyou-afflicted teenagers begin to lose their minds. They gradually realize that the childhood friends they grew up with are starting to look... a little... off...?...Ugh... Ugh-uh... Errrggghhhlaaaarrgghh—rrr—!!
