"Drive My Cube" (Roadtrip solo) is Tam On Ting's first solo play, which she has written, directed, and starred in. In the play, Ana inherits her father's Nissan Cube, affectionately named "Hung Jai." Driven by curiosity about her father's driving experience, Ana resolves to obtain her driver's license. However, her journey is far more than just that. During one perilous moment after another, on the verge of a collision, Ana unexpectedly triggers the ability to travel through time: she meets Bertha Benz, the world's first female driver; gives a ride home to a talking sheep, and even transforms into Valentina Tereshkova, the first Russian female astronaut, journeying to the moon. These fantastical experiences allow Ana, while pursuing her father's driving sensations, to embark on a journey of self-healing and growth. Hung Jai's "companionship" seems to foreshadow that this adventure has only just begun. What kind of future will they drive towards?
