A city is not a fixed container, but a collective entity continuously formed by different bodies, traces, objects, and relationships.
What is a city made of? Can a city be recorded, reproduced, or backed up? If a city is composed of countless individuals and fragments, then when we record a person’s body, are we also recording a part of the city?
《Back! To Back》 uses handheld scanners to continuously scan each other’s bodies and the surrounding environment, breaking down bodies, spaces, and the city into fragments. These fragments are recorded, reproduced, displaced, and reassembled, gradually blurring the boundaries between the individual, the other, and the city.

MoPo Collective
MoPo Collective is an artist duo founded in London, UK, by Po-Yun Kuo and Momo Ma Pak Yin. Working across sound, the body, moving image, and live performance, the collective explores spatial memory, structures of power, and cultural flows.
Their practice considers how the body can function as a medium, leaving traces across different environments and social relationships. Through performance and moving-image practices, they examine the continually shifting relationships between individuals, communities, and places.
Previous works include Island Practice Manual at Guling Street Avant-garde Theatre in Taipei and Falconbrook Primary School in the UK; Archipelagoing at WURE AREA in Hong Kong; and A Few Pieces of Paper at FURNACE in Hong Kong.
