Together with everyday objects, I reenact a relationship descending into obsession.
Using magic as a narrative device, I revisit the seven years that led me to one irreversible mistake. Through obsession and narcissism, the work examines how intimacy can gradually unravel into destruction.
Rather than portraying monsters, the performance exposes the subtle ways people lose themselves in love. The warning signs, the hidden dangers, and the distorted logic that can transform affection into violence.

Wei-Che Shih creates performances through object manipulation and magic, with a primary focus on exploring the extremes of human emotion. My performance “The Gates of Hell” won First Prize at the Taiwan Magic Association National Magic Competition (TMA 2022). I also enjoys playing pool and chess.
