About the Performance
During the period when Tatung Rice Cooker was in vogue, a group of grassroots people appeared on this vibrant stage where they either listening to LPs, chasing the stars, or merely striving to make ends meet. While some tried to seek a balance between main and side chicks, some joined Wang Lu-Tsai Strolling Troupe dreaming to be a star one day, some grabbed whatever opportunity available just to be the leading actress, there were still a few wished nothing but a happy marriage.
The corridor between the stage and backstage was crowded with apparitions waiting for the spotlight. Those who were bent on being the Other had already canceled themselves out.

Company Profile
Renowned for its creative crossover programs, Taipei Chinese Orchestra (TCO) was founded in 1979 as the first professional Chinese orchestra in Taiwan. TCO performs for more than 100,000 music lovers annually and holds concerts in various forms. Since its founding, TCO has recorded over 100 audio publications, repeatedly winning recognition from the Golden Melody Awards for Traditional Arts and Music. Its outstanding performances have garnered attention from the international music community.
In terms of international exchange, the TCO has made its presence known in more than 20 countries in Europe, North America and Asia. TCO has become the first professional orchestra from Taiwan performing at Carnegie Hall in New York upon its debut there in November, 2018. In June 2026, the orchestra performed at the Berliner Philharmonie, Leipzig’s Gewandhaus, and Vienna’s Großer Musikvereinssaal, making it the first professional orchestra from Taiwan to perform at Europe's three most iconic classical music halls.
