A blank sheet of paper is the ocean
It is an ancient soul, a cloak of expedition
Magical allegory accompanied by live folk songs
March on, brave oysters, and let your voices be heard!
The story of "The Land Project: The Angry Oyster" originates from a fishing village on Taiwan's west coast. It tells the tale of a group of polluted oysters and their retaliation against the human world in the form of a magical allegory. With a blank sheet of paper transforming into the ocean, oysters, ancient souls, and cloaks of expedition, the ever-changing scenes combine with live folk songs to sing a rock 'n' roll anthem of the oysters! This performance is specially designed for families, aiming to inspire the audience to reflect on their connection with the land and gain a fresh perspective.
In the oyster tribe, a song is passed down from generation to generation.
Regardless of being eaten by oyster drills, pecked by birds, or collected by humans,
No matter the way of their demise, when the tide rises and the sea is filled with algae,
They open their shells, feasting and humming ancient songs,
Summoning the souls from the sea, reattaching them to empty shells, and growing new oysters.
Passed down from generation to generation, life continues.
Until the colossal factories were built along the coastline,
The oysters began to deform, twist, and shrink continuously.
The enraged oysters decided to form an army and engage in a suicide attack, named "The Angry Oyster."
