2023 TCAF: LAB《Hey! You》

The twinkle of the stars, the rustling of leaves - listen! There is a small universe of burning sounds in the city. A-lo, who loves collecting sounds, carefully listens to the things around him every day, including the sound of wind rushing through buildings, the conversations of birds with different melodies, and the croaking of frogs in the underground waterways at night. He carefully sorts out sounds of different shapes - some are round and blue, some are like coarse blankets, and some even look like dancing flames! A-lo listens to the changes in the city and hears different stories in all the sounds.

One day, a loud noise frightened A-lo. As he listened carefully, a new sound he had never heard before appeared after a series of rolling sounds. From the moment he opened his ears, he led children on a journey through an unexpected chapter opened by sound. In an age of excessive visual stimulation, he hopes to hear the symphony of imagination shared between the inner self and the environment, and find a way for everyone to resonate with the world.

"Hey! You" is an invitation to children, let's feel curious about the world together again!

Le Théâtre des Enfants Terribles

Established in 2014, Le Théâtre des Enfants Terribles was founded by HUANG Kai-Lin. The troupe tries to incorporate movement, mime, clown, mask play, puppetry and object theatre, and also look forward to cooperating with artists from different fields to explore new vocabularies for contemporary physical theatres. The idea is to create a “poetic theatre” that represents the humanity and the truth of Life through its simplicity and quintessence.
