I would like to develop further from these two words, about what the eyes capture through the window of the soul. Humans have the ability to infer the internal state of others from the movements of their eyes and surroundings, even though the conveyed messages are limited. Eye contact remains a bridge connecting one's own and others' intentions.
SHIH Min-wen
Born in 1998, Shih received her BA in dance from the University of Taipei. She currently works as a freelance performance artist, drawing inspiration from daily life for transformation into her physical vocabulary. Recent collaborations include Jeff Hsieh’s SBx_2045 – The Everyday Second Body in 2021; in 2002, Tai Gu Tales Dance Theatre’s Shangri-La My Dreamland, Chang Wang’s Shaman’s Rite, and A Thousand Sounds Towards Dawn for the opening of the Taipei Performing Arts; and Hsu Chen Wei Dance Company’s 2023 production Deadline.
