A middle-aged female's self-reinvention and self-reliance - with laughter, tears, sass and resilience
The creator and performer, Missy Hyper, is a former veteran Hong Kong media person, now a cross-media artist based in Taiwan.
Before the pandemic, she had presented multiple Cantonese and English talk shows in Hong Kong, Copenhagen, and Perth. Her performances are known for their wide spectrum, covering everything from mainstream entertainment to gender issues, from fun trivia to geopolitics.

At the prime of her life, she resolutely changed tracks, came to Taiwan to study at an art research institute, and wrote her master's thesis on "A Study of How Drag Queens Empowers the Democratic Progress of Hong Kong and Taiwan" - half a year before Taiwan's muse Nymphia Wind won "RuPaul's Drag Race". Missy Hyper quipped a go-to gag: "In promoting LGBTQ+ rights in Greater China, I have contributed a bit though~ You are welcome."
As for being among way younger classmates, the mature student herself joked: "This is just a 'unit conversion' issue - previously we were called 'a bunch of old gals', and now we are called 'an old gal' (just me, haha)."

Survival skills: Oratory skills second, mnemonics first

There is a type of retirement called academic retirement.
There is a type of freedom called Taiwanese-style freedom.
There is a type of perseverance called Hong Kong-style perseverance.
