Hsieh Chieh-Ting

 

Hsieh Chieh-Ting is an artist, musician, music and dance researcher from Taiwan. He was the director of the research-based artist project Transnotators and Reconstruction of Stain at Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-LAB). His recent artistic works include Six Pieces for the Moon, Gespräch im Gebirg. He was the music consultant for Huang Ya-Li’s documentary Le Moulin. He also worked as musician at Chung Yu-Feng’s Pendulum (TIFA 2022). His recent research interests include the dynamics of music and dance, the sense of the body, notation, culture-techniques, etc. He has endeavored to open up more possibility for the artistic works through research, and continuously forged dialogues between art and music, poetry, along with history beyond their traditions in modern times. His writings were published in Performing Arts Forum, etc., and his papers were presented at the conferences of International Musicological Society, Gesellschaft für Tanzforschung, etc.
