Exerce Master, ICI—CCN Montpellier Occitanie in partnership with the University Paul-Valery of Montpellier
Initiated in 2011, in partnership with University Paul-Valéry in Montpellier, the MA exerce is an internationally renowned training program, which accompanies artists (choreographers, performers) in authoring a dance research project. Investigating ways of working as a dancer, choreographer, researcher and citizen is at the core of the exerce Masters, which seeks to enlarge the field of choreography while encouraging encounters between artistic processes and research methodologies.
One of its unique features is that it dovetails with the activities of the Centre Chorégraphique National de Montpellier – direction Christian Rizzo thereby giving students-artists-researchers immediate access to current developments in international choreography.
In 2021, we celebrated the tenth anniversary of this Master degree and, for the occasion, we launched an editorial collection composed of former students writings.
