Workshop Description

My aim is to explore a state of availability and openness, conducive to allowing oneself to do, to act and to be transformed. Making yourself available to the dynamics of a movement by listening, and observing what happens inside you when you are in a listening relationship that opens you up to the space, the music and the other person.

A Brief Biography of Artist

Algeria & France | Dalila Belaza
Dalila Belaza first made her mark as a performer for, and artistic partner, of her sister, the choreographer Nacera Belaza. Through their research into the body’s deep memories and into dance inhabited by a unlimited inner space, they charted a significant path in the choreographic landscape. Over time, and drawing on this foundation, Dalila Belaza felt the need to give voice and form to her own questions. This has led her to pursue several lines of enquiry, extending this field of existence to other realities. For some years now, Dalila has been conducting her own projects, and developing work that probes the themes of identity and explores dialogue between ritual dance and abstraction. Through dance, she seeks “a utopian territory where the personal and the universal meet, like two infinite horizons”.
