- 2022.08.17Registration for the 2022 ADAM Annual Meeting is now open! The Asia Discovers Asia Meeting for Contemporary Performance (ADAM) was launched by the Taipei Performing Arts Center in 2017. It is a network gathering event that places artists at the core, and aims to create a new arts platform in the Asia-Pacific region (including New Zealand and Australia), which allows artists to connect with each other and share resources. It hopes to facilitate transdisciplinary and cross-cultural artistic practices, giving young artists broad and continuous opportunities for exchanging ideas. In 2022, ADAM will deepen our reflection on “IRL” by looking at relations between (human and non-human) bodies and the ecology. It is, particularly since the pandemic, resonating with what’s burning and rolling the trajectory of ADAM’s Artist Lab program to a step forward about ecological thinking and the making of art and performance.Through the eyes, minds and bodies of invited artists from Taiwan and internationally, the Lab will rehearse how "performance" is ecological and celebrates the grand-open season of Taipei Performing Art Center. While the trajectory of ADAM has informed TPAC’s Grand Open programs, the inaugural publication of ADAM will be launched to celebrate the first 5-year stage and achievement. It manifests not only ADAM’s value for the Asia-Pacific region but also challenges existing transcultural theoretical frameworks to catalyse experimental knowledge production of intertwined contemporary art and performance.A 2-day ADAM Annual Meeting will be held physically from August 27 to 28, including 2 sessions of Artist Lab Sharing and 3 sessions of ADAM Book Launch & Discussion.Welcome to join us!Let’s continue exploring and responding to our times' ecology and art ecosystem.▍Events▍Sign Up Here※ Registration will be closed at 23:59 (GMT+8) on 26 August.:: More information: https://reurl.cc/yMkYg2
